Mazda Miata 1990-1997 Catback Exhaust

This Yonaka Motorsports catback exhaust system is made of fully polished stainless steel, with 2.5" OD mandrel bended piping, and a 3.5" tip. The muffler produces a quiet, clean, deep hum, without that irritating mid range raspy sound.

Direct bolt-on fit to OEM. All installation hardware is included, minus o2 bung.

Note: The 1996-1997 Mazda Miata models have an extra o2 sensor in the mid pipe section. This catback does not include the bung for installation of the o2 sensor. It will physically fit but will require a minor modification for the addition of the bung to accommodate the o2 sensor. The bung can be purchased from your local parts supplier or mechanic for a minimal cost. Your mechanic will drill a hole and weld on the bung for installation of the o2 sensor. For additional information please consult your local muffler shop or mechanic prior to purchasing this catback.

This Catback system looks, sounds and performs wonderfully. The kit came with ALL necessary hardware, gaskets and instructions. Plus an impressive amount of promotional material for free! The quality of the metal, welds and even provided gaskets were all great and arrived right on time. The exhaust sounds great paired with a different aftermarket header and catalytic converter. I haven’t seen how it holds against the test of time, but so far I am very impressed. My family owns 5 Miatas and often aftermarket parts are mass produced due to the high demand on such a common platform, but Yonaka certainly cut no corners with this kit. 5+ Stars

The exhaust sounds fantastic! It's a mellow, bassy, OEM+ sound. The install was fairly easy, apart from a stud that I stripped. The clearance on the rear sway bar (I think that's what it is) and the diff is tight, and I was experiencing a rattle at first -- I just got a stiffer/shorter exhaust hanger for the back left corner and that solved the problem. My order shipped the day after I placed it, and the exhaust arrived within a week (all the way from canada!)

Good quality, good delivery experience. Catback doesn’t clear the differential so it’s going to rattle or damage the exhaust. There needs to be a bend in the pipe.
